James participated in a bowling fundraiser and had a blast. The event was held at the Belmar Lanes bowling alley on Fort Street in Lincoln Park. Dad dropped James off then decided to stay since the Lions game was on there and managed to snap a few pictures. James bowled three games and won two of those. He also won a Michigan package with all sorts of goodies from the University of Michigan (James is becoming a big Michigan fan). Pizza and pop were also available but since James and his Dad had filled up on pizza from the Halloween party the night before only soda’s were drank.

Cedar Point Reward For Good Attendance 2016
James was rewarded for good attendance with a trip to Cedar Point. This would be his second field trip in as many days, the other being Greenfield Village yesterday. We had to drive James to school so that he would be on the bus at 7:15am, then we picked him back up at school at about 10:00pm that night so the kids really got their money’s worth out of the event. The weather could not have been more perfect and James said he enjoyed the roller coasters the most which continues a great tradition of roller coaster riders in the family. In addition to his Mom and Dad both enjoying roller coasters, his Aunt Criss and Cousin Ron are also big time roller coaster fans. Big thanks to his teacher Mr Jernigan for the pictures toward the end of the gallery, the beginning of the gallery are general Cedar Point pics that day taken by Dad who was working in Cleveland that day. -
James Achievement Award Pics & Video 2016
James was honored for his work at school, specifically in Geography, and everyone was thrilled with this academic achievement. James is having a very good year at school and we expect bigger and better things from him next year. He is learning discipline, albeit somewhat slowly but he is getting there. Each morning he does his Yoga exercises before a two hour bus drive to school so his school day is a little longer than most but he has learned to make the best of it. James and his family wanted to thank his teachers for their efforts and patience with James who can be a bit of a handful at times. -
James Roller Coaster Project
For the past few weeks James and other students at LPMS have been working on a roller coaster project to demonstrate potential and kinetic energy. The roller coaster could be built out of any material you like and would be a big part of his grade in class. James picked out material from home (pvc and tubing) and bought some flexible tubing at Home Depot (the kind you use for air conditioners to vent the water). James worked with other students on this project and we received this video from his school as he explains where the potential and kinetic energy reaches their highs and lows. -
James Graduates Hoover Elementary
Wednesday June 11 at about 1:30 pm James graduated from Hoover elementary, the second Kleiber ever to do so (The first was Uncle Don a few decades earlier). James graduated with honors and we were very proud of him. James did not stay too long afterwards because he had a loose tooth and it was bothering him. We took him to the dentist that afternoon and the dentist “wiggled” the tooth out so James had graduation and the dentist on the same day. The next day was an optional half day for kids and Jame’s whole class turned out for the optional half day, knowing that they would probably not see Hoover elementary for a while.
James was promised a lunch of his choice but because his tooth was bothering him on graduation, his special lunch was delayed for a day. He ended up at his favorite restaurant, the China Buffet.

The Hoover Times 2014
Although James will not officially graduate till the middle of next week, already he is beginning to realize that he is going to miss much about Hoover elementary. His fellow classmates, his teachers, and the good times he has had there for over 5 years.James enjoyed a luncheon today at a restaurant (Thanks to Mrs Jent and Principle Mr. Falahee)and received a small remembrance in the form of a book called “Hoover Times”. We scanned it into pdf form and you can download it below.
Our entire family would like to thank the administrators, teachers, and students of Hoover Elementary for all their work and friendship with James. He is becoming quite the young man and we thank Hoover Elementary for helping to make him the person he is today and hopefully we (his family) and Lincoln Park Middle School can continue to guide him along this path.

Hoover Elementary Mom and Son Game Night 2014
James and Mom attend the Mother and Son night at Hoover elementary. My understanding is it kind of makes up for the Father and Daughter dance held earlier in the year. Refreshments were available and their were many games and activities for the kids to play. James was quite proficient in explaining new games to Mom that she had never seen before and most of the time spent was playing games (I guess that’s why its called “game night”. James brought home a huge styro-foam airplane that we flew in the back yard that evening. All in all a great time for everyone, except Dad of course.

James Makes Hoover Elementary Honor Roll 2014
We were all thrilled when we found out that James had made the honor roll at Hoover elementary. In order to do this, James needs to maintain a B average in all his classes. While this is not the first time James has had this honor and we certainly hope it won’t be his last, we all feel extra special each time he does make the honor roll. -
Hoover Elementary Science Fair 2014
James participated in the Hoover elementary science fair with a couple projects, one he did on his own and the other was a class project. James’ project was how heat affects ice, inspired by the harsh winter and how the warm spring air melts the ice. The class project was how flowers can change color to match the color of the water they are in. Flowers in red water would turn red, flowers in blue would turn blue, etc.James received a blue ribbon for his individual project and is already thinking about his 2015 project. The entire science fair was very informative and fun to visit.

Reading Night at Hoover Elementary 2014
James enjoyed an evening at school that promoted reading and was done in a very fun way. First the principle had a raffle and raffled off some nice gifts (including Tiger tickets and an auto graphed jersey). We were also entertained with two skits between the raffles (A salad skit and a stirring rendition of RESPECT).Next we went to our first course, it was called Barnyard Express where James learned about farm animals and how they milk them and such. Included were a small horse, a sheep, a goat, a baby pic, a couple baby goats, and the star of the show, a dog. After the course James got an ice cream sandwich from his teach, Mrs Jent.
In between courses, James got to pick out a free book.
James second course was “Big Block of Chocolate” which was a story about … you guessed it, a big block of chocolate. After the story the kids had to “melt” a small piece of chocolate and as a reward they got to dip a marshmallow and pretzel in a chocolate fountain.
All in all a great evening at the school with all sorts of entertainment and an inspiration for kids to read.
