Great Lakes Crossing 2022

Its been a few years since we have been to Great Lakes Crossing and James and Mom really wanted to go. James was looking for games at the game store and Mary was looking for deals at the Women stores.

Dad really did not want to go so he dropped the two off at the shopping complex and went to kill an hour at another attraction.

Great Lakes Crossing is the largest indoor outlet mall in Michigan and this day it was a little busy but not really bad, considering it was Memorial Day weekend. A great time was had by one and all at two different locations in Michigan.

Sea Life 2019 (Great Lakes Crossing)

There is a really cool corner of Great Lakes Crossing which has the Rainforest Cafe on one side and the Sea Life aquarium on the other. We thought about going into this before but never really did due to time restraints, but on this day Mom needed a little time to shop so James and his Dad decided if it was ever going to happen it would be today.

The visit was much fun, took us a little over an hour to see everything, and has many activities for young kids. There was much to do for older kids as well but most of the activities were for the younger variety. The main reason though to visit is to see the fish and they have them all, from sharks to stingrays to glowing jellyfish. There is a section where you can pet some of the lifeforms such as starfish which was fun to do.

James and his dad had a blast on a very warm Saturday! Continue reading “Sea Life 2019 (Great Lakes Crossing)”

Great Lakes Crossing 2019

Presidents Day is a day off for both James and his Dad so the whole family took advantage of this and headed out to Pontiac for Great Lakes Crossing. We thought about going to Frankenmuth or Canterbury Village but both had malls that were primarily outside and it was 27 degrees outside so we decided on Great Lakes Crossing which is the largest mall in Michigan. It is truly gigantic and you could really spend a whole day seeing everything.

Mom picked up some items at TJ Maxx and James found a controller for his Nintendo game that he got. No big purchases but alot of fun for a mid winters day.

Great Lakes Crossing on Memorial Day Weekend 2016

Our next stop was three miles down the road to Michigan’s larges outlet shop, Great Lakes Crossing. Great Lakes Crossing Outlets is the market’s dominant retail outlet and entertainment destination, attracting customers throughout the Midwest and Canada. With 185 manufacturer’s outlets and traditional retail stores, Great Lakes Crossing Outlets is Michigan’s only enclosed value-regional mall. With all that going for it I don’t think I have ever bought anything here, however James bought a hat and Mom bought some things at Victoria Secrets so it was a worthwhile trip.

The place is truly gigantic (we walked from the aquarium entrance to the Saks fifth avenue entrance and back again) and despite it’s huge size, it was still packed with people.

The new thing this year is the Aquarium which we will have to visit soon. The picture out front with the giraffe (James is beneath the giraffe to give you a perspective of the size) is actually made completely of Lego’s.
