Mothers Day Visit To Michigan Memorial 2020
With the covid restrictions loosening up a bit we decided to do our annual trek to Michigan Memorial. We did not get flowers as they are probably not considered essential although we probably could have if we wanted to go through the hassle of masks and stuff.
We were happy to see flags at the veteran graves as we heard the boy scouts were no longer doing it, however Raymond did not get a flag and we all felt bad as we have many veterans in the family but he is the only one who did not return and was killed in action during WW2.
Coconut Pie Just One of the Delicacies of 2020
One advantage of the stay at home order, no one is starving.
While going shopping for food is no picnic (you must wear a mask and social distance), there is more time for creativity including cooking items that previously people did not have time to make. Normally James would be in school and Dad at work but because of the shutdown we are enjoying each others company and working on fun projects to keep us busy.
This will go down as a very strange year, plus its an election year so the best is yet to come.
